EV Scooter Design Collaboration with an Indian EV Manufacturer Client Overview A growing player in the electric vehicle (EV) segment approached us to resolve design and fitment challenges in one of their EV scooter models. The main issue centered around the front headlight area, where the existing structure did not support proper integration. Additionally, interference between the headlight and mudguard on speed breakers posed serious usability concerns. They approached Voxel 3D Tech for scanning and design services to support product enhancement. Our Solution We began by conducting a complete 3D scan of the scooter’s front assembly using our proprietary i-Scan Light technology. The precise scan data helped us deeply understand the dimensional constraints and integration issues. High-Precision Scanning of Press Machine Components for a Leading Auto Component Manufacturer Client Requirement A reputed Tier-1 crankshaft manufacturer approached Voxel 3D Tech with the need to digitally document several critical components of their press machine—most notably, a complex assembly featuring a large part with a diameter of 1352 mm. The objective was to create a comprehensive digital archive, including precise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, to enable efficient spare part manufacturing and support their ongoing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiative. Our Solution To minimize production disruption, our team scheduled and executed the entire scanning process during the plant’s shutdown period. Leveraging our proprietary i-Scan Light API, we performed high-precision 3D scanning of the full press machine assembly. Particular attention was given to capturing the geometry of the 1352 mm diameter component with sub-millimeter accuracy. Following scanning, we processed the data to generate high-quality 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings, tailored to the client’s spare part manufacturing workflow. The data was delivered in standard formats such as .STP and .IGES, making it easy to integrate into their existing design and manufacturing systems. 3D Scanning of Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House, India) Project Background A leading experiential marketing and event execution company partnered with Voxel 3D Tech to support a prestigious national project: enabling a laser projection show at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Our role involved providing precise 3D scanning and modeling solutions to ensure seamless projection alignment and visual accuracy on the iconic façade. To execute this high-precision visual experience, CSDirekt required a detailed 3D model of the entire façade and structure of Rashtrapati Bhavan. This model would serve as the foundation for projection mapping and spatial planning for the laser show. Our Role Voxel 3D Tech was brought on board to provide high-resolution terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) of the Rashtrapati Bhavan structure. Using our FARO Focus 350 laser scanner, we carried out a comprehensive scan of the building exterior.
